Body damage & panel repair

From a supermarket car park crease to accident damage across several panels — straightened, filled, primed and refinished until the panel reads as factory again.

What we repair

If it is steel or aluminium, we can put it right

Most damage looks worse than it is. Before anything is replaced we assess whether the original panel can be saved — repairing is almost always quicker, cheaper and better for the car’s history than fitting new metal.

Where a panel genuinely is beyond saving, we will tell you, source the part and fit it properly rather than papering over the problem.

  • Dents, dings and creased panels
  • Accident and collision damage
  • Scraped and scuffed doors
  • Wing, bumper and arch damage
  • Surface rust and corrosion treatment
  • Welding and panel replacement
  • Door skins and edges
  • Aluminium and steel panels

Our process

How a panel repair actually goes

Every stage matters. Skip one and the repair shows up in the light six months later.

Assess

We look at the panel in good light and decide honestly whether it is a repair or a replacement. You get the reasoning, not just a number.

Straighten

The metal is worked back to its original shape from behind wherever we can reach it, so the filler is doing as little work as possible.

Prepare

Filled where needed, flatted back through the grades, primed and guide-coated so nothing is hiding under the topcoat.

Refinish

Colour matched, sprayed, lacquered, then flatted and polished so the repair blends into the panels either side of it.

Questions

Body repair questions

Can a deep dent really be repaired, or does the panel need replacing?

Far more often than people expect, it can be repaired. If we can get behind the panel and the metal has not been stretched or torn, we work it back to shape and the repair is invisible. We only recommend a new panel when the metal is genuinely beyond saving — and we will show you why.

Do you repair rust, or just cover it?

We cut it out. Covering rust with filler buys you a season at best; it comes back wider than before. Corroded metal is removed, treated and either let-in with fresh metal or the panel is replaced, then the area is sealed properly before paint.

Will my repair be noticeable?

Not when it is done properly. The repair is guide-coated and flatted so any high or low spot shows up before paint, and the colour is blended into the adjacent panels rather than stopping at a hard edge.
